Electronic Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and validating high-performance hardware systems for embedded, industrial, and/or IoT applications. This includes schematic design, PCB layout supervision, prototyping, testing, debugging, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design electronic circuits including analog, digital, and mixed-signal subsystems
  • Develop and review schematics and supervise PCB layout (Altium/KiCAD/Eagle or similar).
  • Perform component selection based on technical and commercial parameters (cost, lead time, availability).
  • Integrate microcontrollers, power supplies, sensors, communication interfaces (RS-485, RS-232, CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, USB, etc.).
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and system teams for cross-functional product development.
  • Interface with vendors for component sourcing, PCB fabrication, and assembly.
  • Conduct bring-up, debugging, and functional testing of prototype hardware.
  • Create design documents: schematics, BOM, layout reviews, test reports, and production guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC, safety, and environmental standards (e.g., CE, FCC, BIS).
  • Support DFM/DFT improvements and ongoing product enhancements.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware design and embedded systems.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
  • Proficient in schematic capture and PCB design tools.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Familiar with low-power design, SMPS, signal integrity, and thermal management.
  • Good understanding of hardware-firmware interface.
  • Experience with compliance testing (EMI/EMC, ESD) is a plus.

Good to have skills:

  • Exposure to RF, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi module integration.
  • Knowledge of simulation tools (LTspice, PSpice).
  • Hands-on experience with CAD for enclosure fitment reviews.
  • Exposure to PLM tools, version control (Git), and Agile/Scrum environment.
