Electronic Hardware Design Lead role requires strong technical expertise in circuit design, PCB development, and embedded hardware architecture, as well as leadership abilities to manage a team of engineers and collaborate cross- functionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead end-to-end hardware design from concept to production, including schematic design, component selection, PCB layout review, and testing.
  • Own hardware architecture for new products ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate MCUs, SoCs, sensors, power supply architectures, and communication interfaces (e.g., RS485, CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, BLE, LTE).
  • Oversee design for EMI/EMC compliance, thermal management, and signal integrity.

Team Management:

  • Mentor and guide a team of hardware engineers, review work quality, and ensure best design practices.
  • Define and delegate tasks, monitor timelines, and support project execution.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure proper documentation and version control practices.

Prototyping & Validation:

  • Drive prototype development, bring-up, debugging, and functional validation.
  • Define and execute test plans for functional, environmental, and reliability testing.
  • Identify design risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with firmwares, mechanical, and product teams for seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and manufacturing teams for DFM/DFT and BOM optimization.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and certification labs for product compliance (CE, FCC, BIS, etc.).

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in electronic product design with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded hardware systems.
  • Proficient in ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD).
  • Experience with EMI/EMC, signal integrity, and safety compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in debugging and lab instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, etc.)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with industrial grade hardware and field hardware (IEC 61010).
  • Familiarity with RTOS-based embedded systems and hardware-software co-design.
  • Exposure to RF design and antenna integration.
  • Project management and Agile/Scrum experience.
