We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities for fabrication and machining components. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, vendor management, and cost optimization while ensuring timely procurement and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing

Procure fabrication, machining, and sheet metal components.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.

2. Technical Evaluation

Understand fabrication, machining, laser cutting, and bending processes.
Evaluate technical specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards.

3. Cost & Vendor Management

Negotiate pricing and optimize procurement costs.
Identify and develop new suppliers for better pricing and quality.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement issues.

4. Documentation & Coordination

Maintain purchase orders, quotations, and procurement records.
Work closely with production, quality, and stores departments.
Utilize ERP systems for procurement tracking and reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (BE/DME).
3–5 years of experience in purchase or procurement of fabrication and machining components.
Experience with vendor development and procurement processes.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.
Experience in laser cutting and bending processes.
Cost-conscious approach to procurement.
Knowledge of measuring instruments.
Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Office.
