CSD ‐ Caterpillar 3516 Engine Parameters Monitoring

Our reputed MNC Conglomerate wanted to monitor data of Caterpillar 3516 Engine over SCADA in one of their CSD (Cutter Suction Dredger).

Caterpillar Engine communicates over SAE J1939 protocol and SCADA communicates over Modbus TCP protocol. Therefore they need device which can communicate between two different protocols – SAE J1939 and Modbus TCP.

  • We installed our SAE J1939 to Modbus TCP Slave Gateway device which can communicate with Caterpillar Engine & SCADA.
  • We had successfully commissioned around 29 Engine parameters (like Engine speed, Load, Running Hours, Total Fuel Uses, Different Temperatures, Different Pressures, Battery Voltage and many more) in Modbus TCP through HD67215‐A1 Converter.
