  • Objective: CO + H₂O → CO₂ + H₂ (increases H₂ yield)

  • Objective: Capture CO₂ from reformate gas
  • Instruments:
    • CO₂ Analyzer (NDIR or IR type):
      • Inlet: To check CO₂ load
      • Outlet: To confirm capture efficiency
    • H₂ Analyzer: Ensures H₂ loss is minimal.
    • pH & Conductivity Sensors (in amine): Monitor solvent condition.

  • Objective: Remove residual CO/CO₂ (if methanation) or purify H₂ (via PSA)
  • Instruments:
    • Online GC / TCD or QMS: For H₂ purity (>99.9% for fuel cells)
    • CO, CO₂ Analyzers: For trace contaminants
    • Moisture & O₂ Analyzers: For fuel-cell grade hydrogen

  • Objective: Compress and send captured CO₂ for sequestration or use
